Butterfly Valve Technical Description

1. Structural Principle

The disc of a hand-operated butterfly valve is installed along the pipeline's diameter. Within the cylindrical passage of the valve body, the disc rotates around its axis with a 0°-90° range of motion. At 90° rotation, the valve is fully open. These valves are typically installed horizontally.

• Low pressure drop: When fully open, the disc thickness is the only flow obstruction, ensuring minimal resistance.
